Dorcas is our women’s empowerment program, created to support women from underserved communities in gaining confidence, skills, and a sense of purpose. Many of the women who join Dorcas have had limited access to education and few opportunities to develop income-generating skills.
At the heart of Dorcas is stitching training, where women learn practical tailoring skills in a safe and encouraging environment. These skills enable them to contribute to their household income and move toward greater financial independence.
Alongside stitching, we offer English classes that help women communicate more confidently, expand their opportunities, and participate more fully in society. Learning together also creates strong bonds and mutual support among the participants.
Dorcas is more than a training program. It is a space for personal growth, encouragement, and community. Through group discussions and shared learning, women build self-confidence, resilience, and hope for the future.
Through Dorcas, we see women not only developing new skills, but also discovering their own value and potential—creating positive change for themselves, their families, and the wider community.
